About me

Human decision-making processes have been the "red thread" of my academic career. From industrial design with a focus on interaction design to cognitive psychology and quantitative methods, I ended up specialising in Behavioural Insights and Behavioural Economics. Behavioural insights and behavioural economics have boomed in recent years, with "Nudge Units" springing up all over the world. Framing, boosting, nudging – using existing frameworks to analyse and optimise products, processes and decisions and to develop interventions is my passion!

On this website I would like to introduce myself through a selection of my work and projects. As a young professional and maybe a future part of your team, as an external consultant or simply as someone who is passionate about similar topics as you are!

Behavioural Insights

Behavioural insights involve analyzing how people behave and make choices, often in response to their social and psychological environment. These insights are used to craft interventions and policies that steer individuals towards better decisions, ultimately leading to improved outcomes for both individuals and society.

Behavioral Economics

Behavioural economics is a multidisciplinary field that combines insights from psychology and economics to study how individuals often deviate from perfect rationality in their decision-making processes. It explores the impact of cognitive biases and emotional factors on economic choices, shedding light on why people sometimes make suboptimal decisions.

Nudging

Nudging is a subtle approach to encouraging desired behaviours by making them more appealing or easier to adopt, without mandating or restricting choices. It leverages psychological principles to gently guide individuals towards making choices that align with their best interests or broader societal goals.

Nudge Units

Nudge units are specialized teams or government entities dedicated to applying the principles of behavioural insights and nudging in policymaking. They conduct research and design interventions that aim to improve public policies, services, and regulations by considering how people actually make choices and how these choices can be positively influenced.

Framing

Framing refers to the art of presenting information in a way that influences how people perceive and respond to it. By emphasizing specific aspects or angles of a message, framing can lead individuals to interpret information in a particular manner, affecting their decisions and actions.

Boosting

An approach to behaviour change, that centres on enhancing individuals' decision-making abilities and empowering them to make more informed choices. It involves strategies like training, education, and transparent communication, with the goal of improving people's judgment and enabling them to make better decisions on their own terms. Boosting doesn't focus on changing the choice environment but rather emphasizes the development of individuals' decision-making competencies.
